Within a pointed pentafoil, ‘Allāh / lā ilāha illā / Muḥammad / rasūl Allāh’ (‘There is no deity but Allah. Muhammad is the messenger of Allah’ in Arabic); at the sides, ‘ṣalla ˗ ʿalayh’ (‘May [Allah] bless him’ in Arabic); in the margin, ‘wa sallam sana …’ (‘and grant him peace. Year …’ in Arabic). Rev. Within a circle, in the center, ‘Ghāzān Maḥmūd / ḍarb Baghdād’ (‘Ghazan Mahmud. Struck in Baghdad’ in Arabic); above and below, ‘Tegriin / Kucundur – Gasanu / Deledkeguluk / sen’ (‘Under the power of heaven, struck by Ghazan’ in Uighur); to the left, three letters in Mongol Phags-pa script: ma, kha, za.
